Johnson County Arrest History
Johnson County arrests can begin with the Sheriff’s Office, Warrensburg Police, Knob Noster Police, Holden Police, Leeton Police, University of Central Missouri police, or Missouri State Highway Patrol. The agency that acts first owns the incident and arrest narrative. A person taken to the Johnson County Detention Center then receives a separate booking file. These two records may use the same first allegation but answer different questions.
The public roster is a recent custody tool, not a full Johnson County arrest history. It shows people now held and a short release window. Older arrest reports require a records request to the agency that created them. If a prosecutor files a charge, Case.net adds the court trail. MACHS supplies the statewide open criminal-history layer, with its own rules and limits.
Johnson County Roster Controls
The official Johnson County detention roster gateway separates “Current Inmates” from “48 Hour Release.” Choose the current list for a person believed to be in custody. Choose the release view for someone who may have left the jail within the short published window. The roster has no free-text name box, date-of-birth field, or booking-number search.
Use the A-Z links to browse by surname, or sort the list from newest to oldest when the arrest date matters more than the name. A profile link opens the visible booking details. Page controls move through longer lists. The roster’s own warning says that the data are offered for convenience and cannot be certified as accurate or authentic.
| Roster control | What it does | Best use |
|---|---|---|
| Current | Shows the current custody list | Checking present Johnson County detention |
| Released | Shows the 48-hour release view | Finding a very recent release |
| A-Z letters | Browses by surname | Working without a search box |
| Newest or oldest | Sorts by booking date | Locating recent intake entries |
| View Profile | Opens the booking card | Reading agency, charge, and bond fields |
Looking Up Johnson County Arrests
A complete Johnson County arrest lookup follows the record to its actual custodian. The roster is fastest for current or very recent custody, but it cannot replace an arrest report, filed court case, statewide repository response, or state prison search. Note each case or booking identifier before moving between systems.
- Check the Sheriff’s Current Inmates and 48 Hour Release views. Browse A-Z or sort newest first, then note the booking number and arresting agency.
- Call detention staff at 660-747-6469 before relying on bond, charge, or custody status. The same line can route an in-person inquiry at the Centerview lobby.
- Request the arrest narrative from the arresting agency. Use the Sheriff form for a Sheriff arrest, but contact a city or campus police records channel for its report.
- Search Missouri Case.net after charges may have been filed. The court case shows the filed charge and outcome, which can differ from booking.
- Use the MACHS Name Search for statewide open Missouri criminal history. It costs $15 plus a convenience fee and returns possible name matches, not fingerprint-confirmed identity.
- Use the Sheriff’s written request route for older booking material, an arrest report, a daily activity log, or a letter of incarceration.
- After transfer to state custody or supervision, check Missouri Offender Search because the county roster no longer supplies the current status.
Four Johnson County Arrest Records
One Johnson County arrest can create four linked files. The arresting agency writes the incident or investigative report and the arrest report. The detention center creates the booking, photograph, fingerprints, bond, custody, and release entries. The Missouri State Highway Patrol Central Repository receives qualifying arrest fingerprints and later reportable events. If the prosecutor files, the Circuit Clerk creates a Case.net file.
Record flow: Arresting Agency › Johnson County Booking › MSHP CJIS Reporting › Filed Court Case
Ownership matters. Asking the jail for a city police narrative can produce only custody material. Asking city police for a certified judgment sends the request to the wrong office. Start with the record’s creator, then use shared identifiers to follow the event across Johnson County systems.
Inside a Johnson County Arrest Record
The public Johnson County booking profile shows only part of the underlying arrest and intake record. It can identify the person displayed, booking event, arresting agency, current charge wording, and aggregate bond. It does not show many internal custody, medical, safety, or investigative fields. The Sheriff cautions that charge and bail information can change after court action.
| Booking number | Connects the visible Johnson County profile to the detention intake event. |
|---|---|
| Booking date and time | Shows when the detention center recorded intake, not necessarily when the alleged offense occurred. |
| Arresting agency | Identifies the likely custodian of the incident and arrest narrative. |
| Charges | Lists the booking code and description; these are accusations and can differ from later filed charges. |
| Bond | Shows an aggregate amount in the public profile; telephone detention staff for current details and case numbers. |
| Booking photograph | Appears in the official profile as part of the custody record; it is not evidence of guilt. |
| Release status | A release entry adds date and time when the record falls within the published recent-release view. |
| Other descriptors | The inspected profile included age, gender, and race but did not expose exact birth date, home address, or SID/FBI number. |
Johnson County Arrest Report Requests
The Johnson County Sheriff provides a structured online public-record request form. It offers choices for Incident Report, Arrest Report, Daily Activity Log, Letter of incarceration, and Other. Select the record that answers the question. Then describe the date or date range, location, call type, involved names, incident type, and known case number.
The official text of section 610.100 RSMo defines access rules for arrest and incident records.
The statute capture grounds why a Johnson County request can yield open facts while protected investigative, victim, or safety details remain withheld.

Administrative counter: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
The form is also the Sheriff’s written Sunshine request route. No complete copy fee schedule was found in the official source. Ask for an estimate before authorizing a large production. The Missouri Sunshine Law generally calls for action by the end of the third business day, either producing the record or giving a detailed response and earliest production date.
Booking Logs and Recent Arrests
The Johnson County Detention Center publishes current custody and 48-hour release views. Roster cards show a booking photograph, name, booking number, booking date and time, charge code and description, aggregate bond, and a profile link. Release entries add release date and time. The public list is organized for browsing rather than for a broad historical name search.
The official roster gateway shows the choice between those two time-sensitive views. A person who is not in either view may still have an older Johnson County arrest record.
The Sheriff’s official news and press archive can add public context for selected incidents or initiatives. It is not a full arrest log and should never replace the roster, the arresting agency’s report, or the filed court case.
Entries can leave the current list after release or transfer. A summons may never create a jail booking. Another facility may hold the person. For that reason, absence from the roster proves only that no matching entry was found in the selected public view at that time.
Johnson County Arresting Agencies
Use the agency named on the Johnson County booking profile for the arrest report. Warrensburg Police is at 102-B S. Holden Street and can be reached at 660-747-9133, with Central Dispatch at 660-747-2265 after hours and pd@warrensburg-mo.com for records. Knob Noster Police is at 201 N. State Street behind City Hall, 660-563-2233, with dispatch at 660-747-5511. Holden Police is at 101 W. Third Street, 816-850-4154, and accepts records contact at pweiss@holdenmo.gov; its dispatch also uses 660-747-5511.
University of Central Missouri police records route through policerecords@ucmo.edu or the 24-hour line at 660-543-4123. Leeton is a confirmed county dispatch partner, but no standalone request form was found, so begin with the town or dispatch. A trooper report belongs with the Missouri State Highway Patrol, and highway crash records use the Patrol’s crash-record channel. None of these agency reports replaces the Johnson County booking entry or a later filed court case.
No Johnson County Roster Result
When the Johnson County roster is blank, first switch between Current Inmates and 48 Hour Release. Check the surname letter and the date sort. Then call 660-747-6469 with enough detail for staff to route the question. A booking can also disappear from the current view after a transfer to the Missouri Department of Corrections.
If the event occurred in Warrensburg, Knob Noster, Holden, or on the University of Central Missouri campus, contact that arresting agency for its report. Warrensburg Police accepts a city request with the record type, date, requester contact details, description, copy count, and delivery choice. City records and county booking data can exist at the same time.
Search Case.net for a later filed case and Missouri Offender Search for state custody or supervision. A missing roster card does not erase the arresting agency’s report or the later court file.
Johnson County Fingerprint Reporting
Section 43.503 RSMo requires covered Missouri misdemeanor and felony arrest data to reach the MSHP CJIS Central Repository without undue delay. The report can include fingerprints, a photograph or biometric data when available, charge codes, and related event data. The agency also reports a decision not to refer when the statute applies. Courts and corrections later add reportable outcomes.
The official criminal-history reporting statute sets out that statewide agency duty.
The captured law connects a qualifying Johnson County arrest cycle to the state repository without turning the county roster into a statewide history.
This reporting chain explains why MACHS, Case.net, and the Johnson County roster can differ. The roster is custody-centered. Case.net is case-centered. MACHS is a statewide open-record product built from qualifying reported events. A MACHS name search can return a possible match and excludes closed Missouri records and FBI records. Fingerprint review is the stronger route for checking one’s own identity-confirmed Missouri record.
Note: Daily repository updates cannot cure an event that was not reportable, not yet filed, or not submitted.
Arrests Are Not Convictions
A Johnson County arrest record documents police action or detention intake. A conviction record reflects a court’s judgment of guilt. The booking charge can change, the prosecutor can decline or alter the charge, and separate counts can end in different ways. Read the filed case before stating an outcome.
| Point | Johnson County arrest record | Conviction record |
|---|---|---|
| Creator | Arresting agency and detention center | Court, with reportable result sent to MSHP CJIS |
| What it shows | An arrest or booking event and initial allegations | A finding or plea of guilt on a specific charge |
| Where it lives | Agency report system and Johnson County booking system | Circuit or municipal clerk, Case.net, and qualifying repository history |
| Possible next result | Release, transfer, filing, no referral, or no charge | Sentence, appeal, later closure, or expungement when law permits |
Note: An arrest is not proof of guilt, and a Johnson County booking can end without a conviction.
